Love is the Answer

Have you ever heard this statement?

"Gotta love yourself first before you can lose weight and keep it off?"

It took me a really long time to love myself. And now that I do, weight loss is not a priority.

Getting healthy is a priority because I now love myself enough to take care of myself.

The urgency of changing my appearance is gone.

I remember (just a few years ago) walking into a room and worrying about who was judging me. Worrying about what I looked like. Worrying about what people thought of me.

But I discovered something. God doesn't care what my weight is, he doesn't care about my outward appearance. It's the inside that counts.

Don't get me wrong, he wants me healthy. He wants me to take care of this body he gifted me. I still need to lose excess weight from around my organs.

But, there's no worrying about what everyone else thinks. Because I am enough. Just as I am.

You are enough.

Stop obsessing about losing weight.

Stop worrying about what others think of you.

Stop trying every fad diet, starving yourself or earning your calories in the gym.

Start loving yourself. What is special about you? Focus on that!

Start listening to your body-what is it trying to tell you?

The answer to all your problems can be found within you.

Fall in love with you! You are enough. You are worthy of love.

Life changes when you find self-love.

Love yourself first. Then make habit change.
